'Violent' Takes Home 2 Awards at VIFF

In October of 2012, five friends set out to do the impossible. They travelled to Norway to write, cast, and shoot a feature film in a month with almost no budget. It was an uphill battle sometimes literally as the crew walked up to 10km a day with all of their gear to save money. John was one of the 5 that has been a part of this project since day 01.

The feature was completed in early 2014, the final mix was done here at The Farmhouse Creative Labs. Since then the film has been on a whirlwind of a festival run include Cannes, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, and most recently Vancouver International Film Festival. There the team took home not 1 but 2 awards that night!

The film is still gaining a lot of momentum and it's hard to tell what is next for the film that should have never been but we are very fortunate to have been a part of the journey.

A Brony Tale World Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival

So proud to finally announce that after countless months, and late night editing sessions Hodgee Films Presents: A Brony Tale is finished and set for a world premier at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. 

I was fortunate enough to have Director and close friend Brent Hodge in from San Francisco at my side for the final mix/export of the film. Also a huge Congratulations to Brent, Grant Lawrence and the entire CBC team for their win at the Canadian Screen Awards for their Volkswagen: Beetle Roadtrip Sessions.

New Year and a New Look

2013 was an insane year for the company.

Amazing Race Canada was the highest rated show in Canadian network history, Top Chef went into it's fourth season, and we worked with some big corporate names such as Hudson's Bay, Indigo, and ÜBER. Most importantly we turned this big empty loft into an amazing creative space filled with talented people who are all passionate about what they create.

So excited to see what 2014 has in store,

We Are The City Releases Live Album

Vancouver based 'We Are The City' played a sold out show at The Opera House in Toronto. They popped by The Farmhouse to do a little mixing a mastering of their new 5 song LIVE EP entitled PXTK.

The Farmhouse is also currently handling the post-production on the feature film 'Violent' which is a film written and directed by the band. Look for it in 2014.
